Well Sunday was Kaylie's baby blessing given by her Daddy. She looked so beautiful in her dress made by her Great-Grandma Rasmusson. The blessing Spencer gave her was amazing, both my mom and myself were completely in tears by the end of it. I think even Spencer was starting to cry a little... Afterwards we had a dinner party at our house to celebrate with our family. I was very happy and pleased with all of the family that showed up for this special event in Kaylie's life. As for the question Shayleen asked, I don't have a close up picture of her in her blessing dress yet, but I did have one taken at Target the other day and I will have those back on the 27th. She looked so cute in her first pictures, I can't wait to get them back. Thank you for everyone that was at the party and that helped us out. Especially my mom, Grandma & Grandpa Hicken, Judi (mother-in-law), Jenny (sister-in-law), and Jana (sister-in-law) for cooking. The food was great! As for today, my first day alone with Kaylie and Kendra. Kaylie did great while I got Kendra ready for school this morning. I could tell she was a little hungry, but she just layed patiently in her Papasan swing. After dropping off Kendra we came home and I fed Kaylie, she was very happy with that. After she ate I layed her back in her swing and I was able to start laundry and clean up a little. I had about 6 loads to do and I am finishing up the last 2 right now, I was surprised how much energy I had today. I did actually want to take a nap, but that just didn't work out. That's ok, we will try for tomorrow.
Tonight I put Kaylie in her crib while I was putting her clothes away, I layed her on her belly because of the way I had been holding her...it was just easier. Well I turned around and she was lifting her head up all the way. I called Spencer in so he could see how cute it was...he wasn't as excited as I was. I will try taking a picture of this today...I have the camera with me today, Spencer had at work the last couple of days. Now I can go picture crazy for my family!
I can't believe how much laundry there is when a baby is born! I'm not looking forward to that again. Kaylie looks beautiful in her dress! What a treasure!
