Well on Friday I had my first postpartum appointment with Dr. Lemert. He said that my incision is looking great and healing very well. He told me about this scar thing that Neosporin has, Scar Solutions, so I am going to try to see if that works for me. It is supposed to help the bruising and of course the scar. We'll see!
I now weigh 109, very exciting for me since I started my pregnancy at 112. My tummy does look pretty nasty, it looks and feels like jello! I am however glad to be back into my normal clothes. However, my tops don't fit thanks to breastfeeding. The day my milk came in I swear they tripled in size, but I am grateful for that as temporary as it may be.
Breastfeeding has become my favorite past time, literally. I love being able to just sit there with Kaylie and feed her and talk to her. She is so precious and during feeding time it is just the two of us and I wouldn't give that up for anything. I am not going to even think about a bottle unless it is absolutely nessesary. I did try pumping the other day, that won't happen again unless my life or Kaylie's hunger depends on it. It was painful. If it was my baby causing the pain that is one thing, but this was not fun! Breastfeeding has actually been very easy for me. Every once in a while the first few sucks would hurt, but now it is nothing at all. I had heard so many things about how painful it was, but I don't mind it at all.
Kaylie also had her first bath by Mommy yesterday and she loved it. She didn't cry or anything. She is a bit squirmy, but that is normal...she is always moving around unless she is sleeping!
I have loved having my mom here to help me, I don't know what I would do without her. My house is clean, my laundry is done and my baby is happy. I don't want her to go, but I guess she has to. I just wish I had some family here now that I have this new baby. I know I have Spencer's family and I love them all so much, they are so amazing...I just miss my family back in Cali. I can't wait for our trip in March, it will be so nice to see all of them.
Well I have to get online to find out some information about this thermometer a friend gave me. I will write more soon. I hope you are all enjoying the pictures of my princess Kaylie.
Milk coming in is the best! I loved going bra shopping and getting (what I consider) a huge size!!! hahaha Maybe you'll be a lucky one and keep them:) I'm so glad that nursing is going good for you.
ReplyDeleteI must agree on having a mom there after having a baby! My floors had never been mopped so good!
ps You look great! I can't believe you are so small, so quick! You are eating more than normal, right?
