All Smiles

Well I haven't written in a few days and I wanted to let everyone know what is going on in our neck of the woods! Ok, so not too much but I wanted to write anyway. Actually Kaylie began smiling last Tuesday and has done so about 10 times since then. I can't wait until I am able to take a picture and put it on to show everyone. As soon as she is smiling more then we are finally going to have our family pictures taken, I really can't wait for that. I just have to find outfits for all of us that are already in our closets, Spencer for sure won't let me buy anything new. Oh well, I am sure I can find something, we all have a good amount of clothing, I just want to make it so we all match perfect like in our last picture before Kaylie was born. We actually took our last family picture almost a year ago because that is what I got for Mother's Day last year as my present.

Well there are a few things coming up here soon, Spencer turns 27 on April 13th, that just seems crazy! Then we have Mother's Day on May 14th and Father's Day on June 18th. Now seriously it isn't easy to get gifts for all of these holidays when you are trying to save money. I think I need to look into a way to start making gifts from home. I am not sure what, but I bet I can think of something.

Last night I started to write this journal entry and somehow my computer went wacko so now I am re-writing this morning. I was writing about Kaylie's sleeping habits lately. She is such a great baby. She usually wakes up about once a night, but Saturday night she slept until 7 am without waking up. Well last night I fed her and she fell asleep around 7:30 and Spencer took her into the room with him after I got out of the shower at around 8:45 or so. (I had to read with Kendra for 20 minutes since she didn't do so at her mom's house). Anyway, Spencer woke me up at 5:30 this morning to kiss me and say goodbye. Kaylie still hadn't woke up so I had to wake her up and feed her. I sort of assumed that sleeping 10 hours isn't the best thing for a 7 week old baby. However, what a great night. I mean I can't believe that my little munchkin slept that long. Not only did I think she needed to eat, but I had 2 fully engorged "bottles" that needed her help. I thought I might have to pump one of them, but nope, Kaylie took care of them both. I guess she was hungry after 10 hours of sleep. And right after she finished eating, she went back to sleep and is still sleeping right now. Here is a picture of my sweet baby!

I feel like there is more that I had to write about, but I can't think of it right now...I will write more if I can remember. And to everyone in California....WE REALLY MISS YOU!!!

Ta Ta For Now,

Katie

  1. You lucky duck! I didn't have a baby that was even close to sleeping through the night until 10 months of age! Wait, I only have one baby:) I really do pray that this boy is different...Mommy copes so much better on a good nights rest! Congratulations Katie
