Well as you know a couple months ago we took the rail off of Kaylie's bed, well that didn't last long because of all Spencer's traveling and she just remained in the room with us. Last Thursday I took the pack in play that she has been sleeping in in our room and took it somewhere in my car. Well because of this it hasn't made its way back into the house... Last night since she went insane when I put her in her crib (with rail) I decided that it was really time for the rail to be removed for good. We took it off and I was able to lay in bed with her and help her sleep in her big girl bed for the first time. She went to sleep and stayed in her room (not her crib) but her room all night. I went in there this morning to get Kendra ready for school and little Kaylie was sleeping on the floor...so I put a blankie on her and we let her sleep longer...it was so sweet.
Anyway, I am just hoping that she is going to love this new bed of hers, because it doesn't come with a toddler bed rail you can buy to fit it, Spencer's going to have a sub contractor he knows make one for us. I want her to be able to stay on her bed all night if possible, but at least she didn't come into my room. We were very proud of her for that...and happy for me cause I got to sleep all night!!!
Here is the pic of last night and this morning...and yes those non matching pillows on the floor were in case she fell...

Wow! I'm impressed. Boston is going to be caged in his crib until he tries to crawl out. I can't believe she slept in her room all night- that's awesome! Happy sleeping!
ReplyDeleteI love how you write. Don't ever think we don't want to hear it. I am still in the process of fixing my computer and uploading my new program for my camera. It is just a short time and then I can get back into the blogger game. Anyway, Happy Mother's Day to a wonderful MOMMY and I just think thats so cute of Kaylie laying there. Have a good day, Laura
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed that she fell off the bed and still slept. She is getting so big. How fun to have your own bedroom back! Looks like you had a great Mother's Day!
