My Cupcake & Karate Girl

Yesterday was Kaylie's birthday party. We had it down at the playground just to keep the crowd from our house...it was a lot of fun. It was the perfect day, overcast with the perfect temperature. Kaylie really enjoyed herself and having all of her friends around her...she probably didn't realize the day was about her, well at least not until the cake and singing to her and then opening presents. The present opening took a while, but she loved her presents and told everyone thank you after opening each gift. She really enjoyed licking the frosting off of her cake along with Boston. If you can't tell from the pics her theme was cupcakes. I made her invitation that had a cupcake on it and then found a ton of cupcake items at Target...it worked out perfect! Here are some pics from her party! Thank you to everyone that came out to celebrate with us. And for all of the presents, they were so great!!!

Kaylie and her buddy, Boston wasted no time in eating more frosting off of the cake!

Kendra also had her karate graduation yesterday. It was for a 4 week class she had taken after school on Wednesday's. She really enjoyed it and the graduation was very impressive.

She broke a board in half doing a front kick!

She earned her white belt, a certificate and she got her board autographed by one of the instructors.

  1. I can see why the kids loved that cake...FROSTING! It was cute too. I didn't even know Kendra had done karate. She is an all-around athlete. How cool! Anyways, good post and thanks for keeping us up to date. Sylvia said Kaylie looks like such a big girl at her party. xoxo, Laura

  3. Wow! Lots of fun things coming from the Meadows household. I have been wanting to ask you about pregnancy the past few weeks, but didn't know if you were trying or what. I wasn't surprised to get your email...but am very excited!!!
Happy birthday to Kaylie. Looks like a very fun party (for the parents too!)
And to break a board by kicking it sounds painful...and tuff! Go Kendra!
