First day of School 2011-2012

What a busy morning getting my girls ready for their first day of school this year. Kendra was off to middle school this morning via bus...she hasn't ridden the bus since she was in kindergarten. Kaylie is now my little kindergartner and I feel like I could cry typing that.

We got out of bed at 7am, way too early for me...but I was excited so didn't care today. Kendra was already up and about to get dressed, Kaylie on the other hand was sound asleep. She could stay in bed forever! Finally had everyone up, lunches made, breakfast at the table, first day of school pictures and headed out the door.

Today we were able to walk Kaylie to her classroom since it was the first day. Kendra doesn't have to be to the bus stop until 9:00 so she came with us. It was so fun to have the whole family there to take pictures and drop Kaylie off. Kendra hates when she has to miss days like that. Kaylie was very excited to stay in class, no crying at all, just happy goodbye's! Spencer then took Kendra to the bus stop and she got lots of hugs and kisses from me before she left. I headed to the "Tissues & Tears" breakfast for kindergarten parents. The principal told us because of a new law passed in Florida they can only have 18 students per class and some classes have more than that number. So....they have to hire another teacher, set up a classroom and then they will be transferring students into that classroom. I just hope Kaylie isn't part of that change, she would be heart broken, she loves her teacher so much already!

I love my girls and I can not wait to hear all about their first day of school.

  1. I love it! I've been wanting to have my kids hold up the fingers of the age they are on their birthdays, I like it with the grade, way cute!
