Mitt Romney

If I have your email address you have already seen this, but I am going to post it on my blog anyway!

Most of you know that we are all about Mitt Romney in our house. If you have driven anywhere in Orlando you have seen MANY Mitt Romney signs along the road, those have been put there by Spencer. He has been doing that, making phone calls and constantly
watching something on TV about the election and Mitt Romney. Because he has been doing this we were informed of a Mitt ralley that was taking place today in downtown Orlando. We packed up Kaylie and Brody (a baby boy that I just recently started babysitting) and headed down there. It was rather exciting to know that Mitt Romney was going to be there and we may have the chance to meethim. We did meet him and got a picture with him. Spencer even got a picture with Ann Romney, here is a fun story... Brody got frightened with all of the noise and cheering when Mitt started talking. Spencer gave him to me and he was just too excited with all the
people in the room, Ann Romney walked over and took Brody from Spencer's arms and walked over where there were less people and just layed him on her shoulder and walked around with him. It was awesome, she was such a sweet lady and I know that made Spencer happy because it gave him the chance to meet her and get a picture with her. Anyway, here are the pictures!

GO MITT!!!

Potty Trained!

My baby girl is potty trained before 2! My original goal was to potty train by 18 months, cause that's when my mom potty trained me... but that so didn't work. That's ok though, we have been working hard at it since Christmas break. She had a few bad days, but we stayed strong...well at least I did!

Yesterday was our best day yet. The only time she pee'd was during her nap. She had just pee'd right before she went down and usually doesn't pee during naps and has been wearing panties for naps, but I guess she wasn't done yesterday. Other than that, she did great...we went to eat that night and selling Girl Scout cookies and didn't have to pee at all, she pee'd in her potty right when she got home. Also, we went on a walk yesterday and she used her potty-on-the go seat and then she pee'd at Shanna's on the big potty. She is doing great and I am so happy I don't have to use diapers. We actually haven't used diapers during the day since Christmas break. I have had her in panties or naked to start. I did purchase this book online that I found very helpful. It is called Potty Boot Camp. I still keep her in diapers or pull ups for bed time, but that is all! I hope this continues to go well! Here are some funny pics of Kaylie on her potty or how she looked while walking around the house! You will notice we originally started with her naked, then went to wearing panties, now she is fully clothed at home again...thank goodness!

I will be posting soon with some pictures of Kaylie during this last year. I can't believe my little girl is going to be 2, she is such a big girl and such a handful, but I wouldn't trade her for the world! She is the best baby girl!

Welcome to 2008...

We had a wonderful Christmas at our house. It consisted of an over abundance of toys and clothes, but the girls didn't complain.

Here is what Santa left for the family.

Kaylie sure did love her kitchen and all of the food inside of it.

Kendra had put a tooth she lost under her pillow and the Tooth Fairy brought her $10 because it was Christmas.

Kendra loves her rollerblades from Pa!

My failed attempt at a picture of Kendra, Kaylie and Jordan after church (the Sunday before Christmas), so the girls are all dress in their Christmas outfits.

Kaylie and Kendra both got tea sets from Grandma and Grandpa Baldwin, Kaylie loves hers! Oh my heck. She gets the place settings ready for you both then leans back on her arms and says "so..." It is funny, then she says "what are you doing?" We have fun playing tea party together. Kendra and I are having one with her set tomorrow, she is excited.

Anyway, we had a great Christmas. New Years was rather boring, but when it is just me, Spencer and Kaylie...there is much to do. Especially since Kaylie HATES fireworks. Spencer had some left over and Kaylie wanted nothing to do with them, she just cried so that didn't last long. We hope you all had a great holiday!

Thank you everyone for all of the wonderful gifts. We are so lucky to have such wonderful family and friends!

And just for fun, here is a picture of 8 of my 10 Girl Scouts at our holiday party!
